An Outlaw Pool Cue is connected to the feeling of the old west. When you think of an outlaw cue you should think cowboys, six shooters, spurs, Wyatt Earp and the O.K. Chorale. Every one of these creative cues are designed to bring out the cowboy in you. Each Outlaw has a dark leather wrap for a rugged feel. There are specially designed steel joints and butt caps. Western motifs are branded with a blowtorch into the butt for a truly unique style. If you like the art of branding these cues are truly a visual treat. The Outlaw is manufactured by CueStix International which also produces the Joss cues as well. CueStix International provides same day shipping and believes in excellent customer service. If you are in the market for a maple solid cue stick with a distinctly western flare an Outlaw may be just right for you.

Another Saturday night with no where to go, or nothing to do? Maybe you have a little extra money in your pocket you’d like to invest some home improvements. Well with a little space and a little time; you could create you very own billiards room, practice at becoming the next billiards champion and be the envy of all your neighbors. This project hasn’t got to break the bank in order to break out the pool cues or ball rack. What will you need to create your dream billiards room?
With this type of project a wide open space is ideal although it hasn’t got to be situated in ideal situations to have a good time. You can purchase regulation tables in many different styles to suit your location, from three and half feet wide by seven feet long; or as big as six feet wide by twelve feet long. Which ever table you choose will have its own characteristics during game play, but those are easily picked up during game play. Just be sure that which ever table you choose that you have adequate clearance around the table, both to walk around; or to take shots with out obstructions. Then you’ll always be able to make the shots to your called pocket.
Pool tables come in a wide variety of styles, and this includes different playing surfaces. If you have a higher budget you can get the traditional slate top table, or if your budget is lower you can buy tables with a plywood top. For occasional games the plywood top should be sufficient although if you plan a lot of playing you might want to consider buying one with a more commercial style fabric covering which will be less prone to wear. This style is what is commonly used in pool halls.
You may want to incorporate your billiards room into a larger game room. This is a great way to put unused basement space to your advantage. The concrete floor is great for a billiards room also, as the concrete floor is usually close to level already, and in most cases the basement will have a high enough ceiling to position table lights over the playing area evenly.
The lighting is a very important aspect because if you can’t see, you can’t play, shadows on the table are also a disadvantage. Also you can paint the walls to cover the block or concrete to make it feel less like a basement. You may also want to create a themed “man cave”, where you invite your friends over to watch the game, play pool, throw darts, or just hang out. A bar is a nice touch to add value and usability to the billiards room. This is a project that can be as big as you want it to be, and you can stretch it out as long as you need to. But be warned, your popularity will certainly be increased.
